Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Specialist We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Specialist to develop, implement, and oversee health and safety programs within our IT organization. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, promote a culture of safety, and proactively address potential hazards in the workplace. Key Responsibilities Program Development: Design and implement comprehensive health and safety policies tailored to the unique needs of an IT environment. Risk Assessment: Conduct regular workplace assessments to identify potential hazards, ensuring that all equipment and practices meet safety standards. Compliance Monitoring: Stay updated with local and country health and safety regulations, ensuring organizational adherence. Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on health and safety protocols, emergency procedures, and the proper use of equipment. Organize and run Health & Safety trainings for new employees. Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into workplace accidents or near-misses, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Ergonomic Assessment: Evaluate workstations and practices to promote ergonomic safety, reducing the risk of repetitive strain injuries common in IT settings. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first-aid protocols. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and training sessions; prepare reports for management review. Cooperation with Institutions: Represent the Company with relevant institutions (PIP, PIS) in order to comply with regulations and principles of occupational health and safety, improve working conditions, etc. Qualifications Education: Higher education in the field or completed postgraduate studies in the field of occupational health and safety. EHS qualifications in accordance with Polish legal requirements. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably within the IT or technology sector. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in using safety management software and tools. Communicative knowledge of English. Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Proactive approach and positive “can-do” attitude. Must be eligible to work in Poland.
