Environmental Services Attendant - Casual The Royal Children’s Hospital’s (RCH) Vision is “A world where all kids thrive”. RCH is a cornerstone member of the Melbourne Children’s Campus, partnering with Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics and The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation. RCH has cared for the children and young people of Victoria for more than 150 years since it was founded in 1870. A full range of paediatrics and adolescent health services are provided plus tertiary and quaternary care for the most critically ill and medically complex patients in Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and other states around Australia and overseas. This is a Casual position within the Support Services Department for Environmental Service Attendant. Shifts: Day Shift, Afternoon Shift & Night Shift across Weekdays and Weekends As an Environmental Service Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment across both clinical and non-clinical areas of the hospital. Reporting to the Environmental Services Coordinator, you will ensure that your practices adhere to Infection Control guidelines and the Cleaning Standards for Victorian Health Facilities. Additionally, you will need to respond promptly to both planned and unplanned absenteeism by providing coverage as required. What you’ll achieve: Commitment to service excellence High attention to detail Your skills and experience: Knowledge of infection controls principles and procedures Well-developed communication skills (verbal and written). Previous experience in a hospital setting desirable Ability to adapt to a multifunctional and diverse environment. Willingness to undertake required training. Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner. Capability to build and maintain good working relationships with a diverse team. Physically fit for manual work.
