The Estate Litigation Department is led by Partner Lucy McPherson, along with an experienced team of paralegals and senior lawyers. The Role We are seeking a Lawyer with a minimum of three (3) years post admission experience in estate litigation matters to join our Estate Litigation team. You will be working on a variety of estate litigation matters, including disputes relating to: Family Provision Claims Executor & Beneficiary Disputes Public Trustee & Guardian Disputes Statutory Wills Power of Attorney Disputes Responsibilities: Provide legal advice and assistance to clients in all aspects of Estate Litigation. Liaising and corresponding (by phone, email and in person) with other professionals, such as counsel, contra lawyers, executors, beneficiaries and other 3rd parties. Drafting court documents and applications. Delegate work to junior solicitors, paralegals and administration staff and proof the work produced. Contribute to the team's success and facilitate further training to the members where required. Attend to accurate time recording and keep contemporaneous file notes. A minimum of 3 years post admission experience in an Estate Litigation role. An intent or purpose in life to help people and change their lives for the better. Well-spoken, articulate and a friendly disposition. Excellent communication and client liaison skills. A high attention to detail and the ability to think outside the box. Excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary skills. Responsible and have integrity. A good work ethic and be self-motivated. A good team player attitude who will embrace the culture and systems of the firm. Willingness to embrace new technology and work electronically. Organisational and time management skills. A willingness to contribute to the promotion of the firm and your own personal profile. Positive/enthusiastic approach and must show initiative. Ability to prioritise competing tasks.
