Ward Civil & Environmental Engineering is a leading civil engineering and remediation contractor in the Sydney market with a range of top tier clients including Transport for NSW, Sydney Airport Corporation, Northern Beaches Council, City of Sydney, Western Sydney Parklands and Lendlease Building. We are seeking either a recent Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveyor graduate, who is interested in joining the estimating team at Ward Civil, to fill a vacancy at our Lane Cove Office. We are also keen to hear from students studying a part time degree in either Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying, who are interested in the position and can commit to working three days per week minimum. The position will involve assisting the estimating team in the preparation of tenders for civil engineering contracts. Duties include: Assessment of tender documents and drawings to determine the scope of works Measurements of quantities from tender documents Procurement of quotations from subcontractors and suppliers Comparison and analysis of subcontractor pricing Assisting estimators in preparing tender submissions The successful candidate will enjoy working in a busy team environment and be eager to gain experience in the civil construction industry.
