We are currently seeking a suitably experienced and qualified Estimator/Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team. About the Role The Estimator/Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, estimation, and coordination of construction projects. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills to interpret project requirements, develop accurate cost estimates, and support project execution from tender to completion. This role is ideal for a highly organized and proactive professional looking to contribute to the successful execution of construction projects while ensuring financial and contractual integrity. Key Responsibilities Interpret technical drawings and perform material take-offs to determine project requirements Review and analyse scope of work documents to ensure alignment with project specifications Prepare detailed and accurate budget estimates, ensuring cost-effective project planning Compile and submit comprehensive tender documents, including pricing and supporting information Develop and maintain project work programs to align with timelines and deliverables Represent the company in pre- and post-tender interviews as required Prepare and submit variation claims, ensuring proper documentation and justification Manage and track progress claims, ensuring timely submissions and approvals Coordinate the purchasing of required materials, ensuring cost control and procurement efficiency Oversee contract administration duties, including compliance with contractual obligations and stakeholder coordination Key Skills & Attributes Understanding of construction methodologies and cost estimation principles Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications Effective communication and negotiation skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in relevant estimation and project management software (Microsoft suite, Auto CAD) Experience with Cubit estimating software and Workbench project management software, while not essential, would be highly regarded Excellent communication skills and a strong team player Specific Requirements The position has the following specific requirements: Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa Satisfactory completion of 2 professional reference checks Applicants must successfully pass a Police/Background Check and may be required to undertake a Medical/Drug Test as part of the recruitment process Applicants will be subject to a probation period of six months How to Apply If you’re an organized and proactive professional looking to contribute to the successful execution of construction projects while ensuring financial and contractual integrity, ready to take on new challenges and join a great team, we would love to hear from you!
