The network of stadiums and entertainment centres hosts in excess of 5 million people a year at more than 500 events and is a key contributor to the economy. Venues NSW takes an integrated approach to our stadia and entertainment centres by developing partnerships with sporting codes, the entertainment and event industry, audiences, local businesses, NSW Government agencies, and community groups. Our network throughout NSW allows us to combine internal resources and harness a vast employee skillset, all of which helps us deliver key projects and secure outstanding content. ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will be responsible for assisting the Manager to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the McDonald Jones venues, including liaison with clients and hirers, coordination of production requirements, coordination of security, ushering, cleaning activities, and other event services, and the formulation and implementation of appropriate maintenance, resource, and energy management programs. ABOUT YOU The ideal candidate will have: Strong communication and influencing skills; Demonstrated experience in working/operating in a large event environment; Proven ability and success in coordinating large events and delivering for the client; At least 1 years’ experience in a similar role. Applicants must be flexible to work outside of normal work hours including evenings and weekends (associated with events).
