The Australian Catholic Youth Festival (ACYF) 2025 is the largest Catholic gathering in Australia, and we’re looking for an Event Project Officer to help make it happen! This contract extends to the 31st of December 2025. About the Event The Australian Catholic Youth Festival (ACYF) is a national gathering of Catholic young people with the aim of providing opportunities to deepen their relationship with Christ, empowering them to live as disciples in today’s world. It’s also a celebration of the vitality of the Church in Australia. The ACYF 2025 will take place over three days in late November to early December, with thousands of pilgrims aged 14-25 attending. About the Role As an Event Project Officer, you will be supporting the Event Project Manager in ensuring the faith-filled, successful, and safe execution of ACYF 2025. You will play a crucial role in supporting the event’s planning, logistics, and coordination, working with multiple stakeholders and supporting the meeting of key milestones along the way. This role requires proven organisation skills, attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, as well as engagement with a wide variety of stakeholders. In addition to reporting to the Event Project Manager, this role will provide professional event and project support to the ACYF Management team. Key Responsibilities Assist the Event Project Manager in managing event planning timelines, schedules, and budgets to ensure the successful delivery of ACYF. Take ownership of tasks that align with ACYF’s goals, objectives, and desired outcomes. Play a pivotal role in driving the successful achievement of key milestones, planning phases, and deadlines leading up to ACYF. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution and coordination of ACYF. Contribute to the development and implementation of event operational plans and processes. Participate in ACYF committee and planning meetings. Accurately document and track key decisions, ideas, and communications related to ACYF. About You You are a proactive event professional with exceptional organisational skills and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments. Managing timelines, priorities, and diverse tasks is second nature to you, and you pride yourself on delivering excellence. You also bring: Degree in event management, project management, or a related field. Exceptional organisation, time management, and attention to detail. Strong teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Calm under pressure with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
