The School of Social Sciences, Media, Film, and Education (SoSSMFE) is seeking a dedicated Executive Assistant to the Executive Dean to join our dynamic team and support our mission of excellence in education and research.As the Executive Assistant to the Executive Dean, you will provide a wide range of high-quality, reliable, professional, and confidential support services to the Executive Dean and senior staff within the School. You will manage the Executive Dean's calendar, coordinate meetings, handle travel arrangements, and prepare meeting papers. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the School by proactively managing the Executive Dean's email, maintaining records, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: Demonstrated experience in providing high-level executive support including the ability to deal with information of a sensitive and confidential nature. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and relationship management skills, including experience in dealing with people from different cultural backgrounds and levels of seniority. Sound analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to collect and interpret relevant information and find appropriate solutions to complex problems. Demonstrated high level of organisational skills, including the ability to work effectively under pressure without immediate supervision whilst maintaining quality output. Qualifications A degree with subsequent relevant experience or extensive experience and broad knowledge in administrative fields or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
