Executive Director (Allied Health Services) We are seeking an exceptional and visionary leader to step into the role of Executive Director Allied Health Services and play a pivotal role in leading the development and implementation of high-quality, patient-centred allied health services that drive outstanding clinical outcomes and advance our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare.This key strategic position leads allied health and clinical assistants across the health service, collaborating with medical and nursing leaders to drive clinical governance, credentialing, workforce redesign, and education and research frameworks. About the role: The Executive Director, Allied Health Services is a key strategic role and is the professional lead for allied health and clinical assistants across the health service. In collaboration with medical, nursing, and midwifery professional leads, the role drives the functions of clinical governance, credentialing, workforce redesign, education and research frameworks. The role reports directly to the Health Service Chief Executive and is a member of the Executive Management team. The position has professional accountability for eligible health practitioner professions and clinical assistants employed by the health service and operational management for Allied Health Education, Research and Workforce Development employees. Allied health across CQ (Central Queensland) Health comprises a staffing establishment of approximately 405 FTE. About you: The successful applicant must hold a relevant tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in an eligible Health Practitioner clinical profession. Where a discipline is registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), proof of current registration is required. Where a discipline is not registrable, proof of eligibility for membership of a relevant professional association is required. While not mandatory, post-graduate qualifications, particularly relating to management and/or health administration would be well regarded.
