They are a manufacturer of softwood and hardwood, formply and structural plywood products in Australia, a major seller of consumable formwork products and a national merchant of timber and associated building products to local trade, medium sized and enterprise sized companies. Their products are sold to professional builders, formworkers, construction companies and building contractors that operate in the residential, non-residential and infrastructure markets. The Role They are now seeking to appoint a dynamic and entrepreneurially focused Executive General Manager to drive operational excellence and strategic sales growth. Reporting to the CEO and serving as a member of the Group Executive Team, this senior leadership role is critical to achieving key financial and operational goals, while ensuring a customer-first approach, effective stakeholder engagement and sustainable business performance. Key Responsibilities : Direct the division's daily operational and financial activities, ensuring delivery against key performance metrics. Develop and execute growth strategies with a focus on revenue generation, margin improvement, and customer satisfaction. Oversee and improve sales, marketing, and operational frameworks while fostering a high-performance culture. Lead business development efforts, identifying new opportunities and integrating acquisitions. Manage budgets, financial reporting and sales forecasting. Provide leadership to division managers, including succession planning and staff development. Collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring strategic alignment across all business functions. Champion safety and compliance, adhering to WHSE systems and policies. About You The ideal candidate will have proven success in senior management within construction, building products or distribution/sales industries. A high level of commercial acumen and relationship management is essential. Candidates should have relevant industry experience within building and construction products distribution and manufacturing together with project execution and management.
