VicTrack owns Victoria’s rail transport land, assets, and infrastructure with the remit to protect and grow the value of the portfolio and to support the transport system. With much of their asset portfolio dedicated to rail transport – land, infrastructure, trams, trains and telecommunication networks – their focus is on delivering reliable services, strategic asset management and driving commercial returns from these assets. The role, reporting directly to the Chief Executive and a key part of the executive leadership team, drives VicTrack’s strategic property development, land sales and commercialisation efforts. With a strong emphasis on asset management, the position oversees a large portfolio of transport assets and managed land. The position is responsible for identifying and leveraging this portfolio to maximize asset value and drive commercial and policy outcomes. Engaging in active market transactions, they reinforce commercial viability and establish critical partnerships. Additionally, they lead a team of 70 within the overall business. A core aspect of the role is aligning long-term strategies with government objectives and VicTrack’s broader vision. With a well-established presence in the commercial property and/or Government sector, the role demands extensive experience and credibility in large-scale asset management. A key focus is the expansion of VicTrack’s commercial capability, capitalizing on revenue-generating opportunities while balancing this with public sector priorities. The role is instrumental in progressing several approved projects, demonstrating a strong momentum in execution and delivery.
