Job Description

Do work that matters: As Executive Manager, Customer and Product, you will take responsibility for supporting the engagement and management of suppliers who support our retail, business and institutional banks’ customers and products. Reporting into the Head of Banking & Corporate Services in Group Procurement, you will lead a team of 8 located in Australia and India and support business stakeholders in engaging suppliers across the end-to-end procurement lifecycle. See yourself in our team: You will join our Group Procurement (GP) team, a team that supports Commbank to deliver leading practice procurement. GP manages all activities across the procurement lifecycle, namely – business strategy; execution & negotiation; implementation & transition as well as performance & governance. On any given day you will: Lead and direct the creation, implementation and delivery of an end-to-end category strategy Lead and direct the team to proactively manage, understand and develop competency in business category requirements. These include: business category requirements; broad and specific business objectives; the supply market in detail including leading practice and technology trends; spend analysis, demand drivers and demand management strategies; risk and appropriate risk mitigation strategies; negotiation tactics and strategies; contracting approaches Lead teams to deliver on agreed targets and objectives through the implementation of strategic or tactical procurement strategies/plans Lead the team to develop effective and implement sourcing strategies across all sub-categories and major suppliers in line with the Supplier Lifecycle Framework and in collaboration with the key business owners Identify metrics, tools, strategies and processes to optimise procurement and continually drive productivity Lead teams to ensure supplier transition/implementation is managed efficiently and effectively per bank policy and procedure Actively develop, support and manage the team to meet KPIs and progress career development Your experience looks like: Extensive end-to-end category management experience and managing of large spend in a complex environment Excellent problem solving and decision-making ability Advanced understanding of leading practice procurement technology Exceptional ability to manage and influence stakeholders and work collaboratively with customers and suppliers Strong capability in procurement related risk management Strong leadership and/or people management skills Knowledge of the local and international banking landscape would be highly advantageous Ability to think laterally and develop new and innovative solutions to problems A collaborative mindset to develop a collaborative culture within their team Advertising End Date: 24/03/2025 #J-18808-Ljbffr
