About the role As the Executive Manager, Human Resources and Communications, you will lead the Human Resources and Communications Branch to support and build ACMA's organisational and communications capabilities and deliver best practice corporate services to our internal and external stakeholders. As part of the role, you will also be operating as the Chief People Officer for ACMA and in support of eSafety. The Branch plays a crucial role in driving organisational performance to achieve the Agency's purpose and objectives which are detailed in the ACMA Corporate Plan 2024-25. The Human Resource Strategy and Operations Sections are custodians of the workplace, workforce and employment policy and internal communications framework, and coordinate related compliance and accountability requirements to ensure the ACMA has the workforce capability, competency, and capacity to achieve its purpose. The Media and Communications Section provides strategic advice to the ACMA and the Authority to ensure the actions and decisions of the Agency are well understood, and to further the positive positioning of the ACMA both internally and externally. You will also be expected to demonstrate: strategic thinking and insight, and excellent judgement excellent leadership and interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively across the ACMA, the Corporate and Research Division, the Branch and government experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams a record of achievement in leading and motivating large teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals proven experience in implementing new HR initiatives in a medium to large organisation experience in driving change the ability to innovate in a complex environment a results orientation including a positive approach to issues resolution and a readiness to engage with risk resilience and agility including the ability to manage several high-profile issues simultaneously. The key duties of the position include Human Resources Providing strategic and technical advice to senior management and other internal and external stakeholders across the breadth of human resource functions to support the delivery of ACMA's strategic priorities. Leading the organisation's approach to implementing the APS Reform Agenda and the ACMA Integrity Framework. Developing and implementing contemporary innovative human resource strategies and solutions to drive employee engagement and productivity aligned with the overall business strategy. Ensuring all employment and industrial risks are appropriately managed and mitigated. Ensuring the ACMA remains competitive in the market in relation to the attraction and retention of talent through contemporary workforce and recruitment practices. Reporting to the Executive Management Committee and providing decision support through effective data and HR metrics. Effective workforce planning including initiatives to develop organisational skills and capabilities, staff retention and succession planning. Managing all elements of the ACMA internal communications strategy and communication channels. Renegotiation of any future ACMA Enterprise Agreements to deliver optimal workforce conditions. Media and Communications Supporting the Authority with a strategic communications plan to ensure the ACMA is effectively communicating with all stakeholders. Developing and implementing comprehensive internal and external media and communications strategies. Preparing and delivering high quality communications collateral and stakeholder communications including print, electronic and social media. Building strong relationships between the ACMA and its external stakeholders across all mediums. Managing the digital content for the ACMA intranet and internet web sites. Overseeing ACMA brand management and guidelines. Preparing key media releases, presentations, speeches and reports. #J-18808-Ljbffr
