Job Description
Queensland Ambulance Service (Organisation site)Finance Infrastructure and Procurement; Office of the Deputy Commissioner Corporate Services; Head Office; Kedron The Executive Manager, Management Accounting, leads and oversees the delivery of management accounting services for the QAS. Critical deliverables include providing support and managerial direction to the Management Accounting team, QAS regions, and QAS corporate business units.The role will lead, manage and mentor an accounting team of up to five staff and operates at a senior level to provide ongoing support to the Director, Finance, the Executive Director, Finance, and other senior positions across the QAS, to ensure the financial needs of the organisation are achieved and to support the operational capability of the QAS. We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes: Demonstrated capability and experience in managing a significant volume of work in a dynamic environment of competing priorities and agendas, with a strong commitment to client service. Demonstrated extensive experience at a senior level in management accounting activities within a complex and geographically diverse organisational environment. Proven ability to contribute to strategic planning and provide high-level, expert advice in relation to budget development and monitoring. Highly developed leadership skills and demonstrated capabilities and experience in managing and coordinating workflow in an environment of competing priorities and needs with limited resources. Demonstrated highly developed communication, negotiation, consultation, and collaboration skills including the ability to prepare and write high-level correspondence and presentations. Highly developed conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills including a demonstrated ability to deliver innovative outcomes. Demonstrated commitment to implement practices which promote a fair and ethical workplace, employment equity, cultural diversity, and occupational health and safety. Mandatory/Special conditions/Other requirements: Whilst not mandatory, an experienced accountant with tertiary qualifications in accounting, commerce or business and membership or eligibility for membership of a professional accounting body will be highly regarded.
