Executive Service Manager - Early Childhood Education and Care We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Executive Service Manager to oversee and support our Centre Director at Beginnings Early Learners Alfredton. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in enhancing the operational and educational quality of our Centre. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of early childhood education, and a passion for fostering a nurturing environment for children, staff, and families. Key Responsibilities: Leadership Oversight: Oversee the Centre Director to ensure that the Centre operations align with our mission, vision, and values. Provide guidance and support to promote effective leadership and management practices. Staff Development: Facilitate staff training and professional development opportunities. Encourage a positive school culture through mentorship and regular feedback sessions. Program Quality Assurance: Monitor and assess educational programs and curricula to ensure they meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Implement initiatives for continuous improvement based on best practices in early childhood education. Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the Centre, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation. Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and workplace safety standards. Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain open lines of communication with parents, staff, and the local community. Address concerns and suggestions effectively to strengthen relationships and support. Strategic Planning: Assist in the development and execution of the Centre's strategic objectives. Collaborate with the leadership team on setting goals, measuring progress, and making data-informed decisions. Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance reviews of the Centre Director and other staff, providing constructive feedback and actionable goals to foster professional growth. Crisis Management: Lead the team in addressing any issues or emergencies that may arise within the Centre. Ensure a smooth response and maintain a safe and supportive environment. Qualifications: Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care Minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education management or a similar leadership role. Strong knowledge of early childhood development, best practices, and regulatory requirements. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to implement and sustain high-quality educational programs. Competence in financial management and resource allocation. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with confidence. Personal Attributes: Passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to the professional development of staff and the growth of children. A collaborative team player with a positive attitude who can build consensus and motivate others. Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Empathetic, patient, and approachable, with a genuine care for the well-being of children and staff. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to liaise with families, staff, regulatory bodies and the broader community. Desirable Skills and Knowledge: Experience in a previous Service Manager, Centre Director, Centre Manager role or similar. Skills to address and resolve conflicts or challenges that may arise among staff or with families. Experience in budgeting, financial planning and resource management. Ability to utilize relevant software for management, communication, and reporting purposes. A commitment to ongoing training and development to stay updated with sector changes and best practices.
