Senior Conference and Events Organiser, IPSANZ An exciting opportunity for an experienced book keeper and executive secretary to provide a high level of financial and administrative support to the Executive Committee, State Committees and society members. IPSANZ is a not-for-profit society of professionals (including lawyers, barristers and professors) who work in the field of intellectual property in Australia and New Zealand. Description Financial and operational leadership - including long-term strategic and financial planning, preparation of comprehensive financial reports, and maintaining robust financial control systems; Accounts payable and receivable management, including work completed in iMIS (the society's association management software) - including processing invoices, managing vendors, and processing and reconciling payments; Governance and meeting support - including preparation of agendas, notices, minutes and reports for trans-Tasman meetings, and society AGMs; Publication management - coordinating the quarterly distribution of the IPSANZ journal, IP Forum ; Special project support - including assisting with the administration of an annual essay competition; and Website support - including reviewing and maintaining the content for specific areas of the IPSANZ website. Profile 7-10 years in senior administrative, financial or governance roles; Advanced understanding of financial management; Proven track record in complex organisational coordination; Experience with membership-based organisations and management systems preferred; Advanced proficiency in enterprise financial management systems, financial reporting tools, and the Microsoft Office suite of products; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Capacity to work well autonomously, and also collaboratively with others, to support multiple stakeholders; Commitment to continuous improvement; and Willingness to adapt and respond to emerging organisational needs.
