Experienced Full-time or Part-time Picture Framer Detail Framing & Gallery Deadline: 18 March 2025 at 17:00 Full-time and Part-time Picture framing post. Minimum 2 years experience.14-34 hours per week (Tuesday-Friday 10-5pm and Saturday 10-4 pm)£13.00 - £14.50 per hour depending on experience. The Picture Framer will be responsible for framing artwork, photographs, and other pieces with precision and creativity. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship. This role is not a production vacancy; you will work in all aspects of framing, from design with clients to hand-making frames from start to finish. Duties: Frame a variety of artworks, including paintings, prints, photographs, and objects. Measure and cut materials to create custom frames. Basic math skills essential. Assemble frames. Ensure that the framing process enhances the overall appearance of the artwork. Inspect finished frames for quality and accuracy. Assist clients in the gallery space. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Handle heavy objects when moving stock materials and finished pieces. Preferred Skills: Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. Knowledge of carpentry techniques for framing construction. Ability to fabricate custom frames based on specific requirements. Experience with painting or finishing frames. Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements. Capability to work with electrical equipment related to framing tasks.
