Job Description

Exploration Manager opportunity for ASX listed Copper Company. QLD based position (ideally Brisbane) with travel to site as required. Exploration budget approved, promising pipeline of projects. The Company: True North Copper Limited (ASX: TNC) is a copper-focused exploration company with a highly prospective portfolio of copper assets in the world-class Mt Isa Inlier region. True North Copper has two major projects – the Mt Oxide Project which is high grade advanced Cu-Ag-Co exploration asset and the Cloncurry Copper Project which remains underexplored. There is significant opportunity to grow the inventory base across these assets and build a regional multi pit copper hub. True North Copper has recently been through a recapitalisation process and is now debt free, has cash in the bank and has an approved exploration budget. The scene is therefore set for an Exploration Manager to come on board and assist with development of the exploration plan and then execute. The role: The aim is to grow the Cloncurry Copper Project Life of Mine through discovery of additional new resources adjacent to current pits and infrastructure. At Mt Oxide the aim is to a build a regionally significant district of multiple new shallow high-grade copper deposits. An aggressive exploration plan will therefore need to be developed and executed with the goal of making large-scale company transformative discoveries whilst systematically drill testing highly prospective targets along a +10km long Dorman fault trend, host to the Vero Cu-Ag-Co Resource. We are therefore looking for a hands-on Exploration Manager who can fit into a small company. Experience within the region would be beneficial as would experience with copper and/or other critical minerals. Skill set required: Bachelor Degree in Geology or a related field. Experience working with small companies where you must manage resources carefully, control costs and be resourceful. Extensive experience in various types of mineral deposits and exploration methodologies, including field-based exploration, drilling programs, geophysical surveys and geochemical analysis. Proven track record of successful mineral discoveries and resource development. Strong knowledge of geological software and data management systems. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing exploration team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex geological data and make sound technical decisions. Next steps: Recruitment for the position is underway.
