As our Brisbane office continues to expand, we are looking for an experienced Export Sea Freight Customer Service team member to join our amazing team. We offer a hybrid work-from-home/in-office working environment providing both flexibility & team collaboration. Responsibilities: Manage and process export sea freight shipments while keeping in close contact with customers and suppliers to ensure a high level of service. Act as the face of Kalgin, striving for excellence in export customer service. Coordinate tasks to meet all customer & SOP requirements: booking approvals, executing cargo collection/container transport, Quarantine requirements, processing PRA’s, pre-alerts & invoicing, etc. Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and create solutions in response to challenges both internally and externally. Liaise with trucking companies, depots, freight forwarders & shipping lines, overseas agents & other Kalgin offices to coordinate shipments. Collaborate with our international team members and third-party agents to ensure efficiency, excellent customer service, and creative problem resolution. Build strong relationships with customers, responding timely and following up on requirements and solutions. Manage and develop relationships with assigned key customers & relevant contacts within the business. Participate in customer business reviews. Ensure all job invoicing and costing in Cargowise are processed accurately & promptly. Minimum Requirements: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sea freight & freight forwarding. Must be currently living in Brisbane. Experience working with the Cargowise software system. Export FAK experience an advantage, however not essential. Excellent communication & time management skills with the ability to prioritize & multi-task. Professional manner & common-sense approach to work & pride yourself on attention to detail, customer service & relationships. Critical-thinking, flexibility, & problem-solving skills to adapt to ever-changing tasks & customer needs. Energetic and team-oriented.
