Expression of Interest (EOI): HSE Consultants in Clean Energy Location: Australia (Nationwide)Contract Type: Freelance/Contractor (ABN Pty Ltd required) Overview: SP Clean Energy is seeking experienced HSE contractors and freelance consultants to support new client wins across a range of Clean Energy projects in Australia throughout 2025. Key Responsibilities: Provide advisory and operational support to Clean Energy projects, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards. Collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors to implement and improve safe systems of work. Develop and manage project-specific HSE plans, induction programs, and competency frameworks. Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis, recommending corrective and preventive actions. Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and ensure project alignment with requirements. Participate in stakeholder engagement, site safety walks, and performance reviews. Report on project HSE performance and maintain accurate records. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in Project HSE advisory roles within energy, industrial, or related sectors. At least 2 years' experience in renewable energy projects (e.g., wind, solar, battery storage) is highly desirable. Strong understanding of HSE legislation and regulatory frameworks in Australia. Proven skills in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and developing preventive measures. Proficiency in project and document management systems, as well as the Microsoft Suite. Certifications such as Lead Auditor (ISO 9001, 45001/4801, 14001) are highly desirable. Excellent communication, report writing, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
