$68,673 base salary per annum, plus super Permanent, full-time Based at Osbourne Park depot Are you passionate about horticulture, landscaping, and turf management? Do you enjoy working outdoors and providing excellent customer service? If so, the City of Perth is looking for enthusiastic Parks Operators to join our dedicated team! The Opportunity Your key responsibilities will include: Assisting with the establishment and maintenance of horticultural, landscaping, and turf management; Operating a wide range of horticultural equipment and machinery; Ensuring all equipment and tools are maintained in a clean, safe, and workable condition; Preparing and planting garden beds and landscapes; Mowing, brush-cutting, and edging parks, reserves, and open spaces. What We're Looking For To be considered for this position, you will have: Knowledge and experience in current horticultural practices and equipment use; An understanding of safe working practices and Work Health & Safety issues; Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Experience working as part of a small team; Manual work experience. Possession of a Cert II or higher in Horticulture and ‘MR’ Class Driver’s License is also desirable. Eligibility Requirements At a minimum, you will have the following: ‘C’ Class Driver’s License; Construction Induction Card (White / Blue Card); Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
