From time to time additional duties as required. The positions are 6 Month Fixed Term Contracts FIFO ex Perth to our Mt Holland site on an 8/6, 7/7 roster. Key Responsibilities Ensure procedures for every task are adhered to Carry out routine checks and calibrations of all instruments Sample preparation – filtration, drying, crushing, pulverising, McCrone milling Sieve sizing Sample management using LIMS Moistures, solids and SGs Instrument operation – ICP, XRD, AAS Fusion and digestion Water quality testing Equipment cleaning/ readiness Train fellow team members when required Maintain instruments as per schedule Report QC non-conformances to Lab Supervisor Active participation in the establishment of a health and safety culture Undertake all work in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with statutory requirements and Covalent policies & procedures Comply with all health and safety, environmental and regulatory policies relating to the project and ensure a safe working environment. Participate in laboratory SHE&C processes and initiatives Engage in laboratory audits Ensure handling protocols for fibrous material are followed Ensure all health, safety and environmental incidents are reported Participate in incident and near miss investigations where appropriate Contribute to the Continuous Improvement culture of the laboratory Ensure effective working relationships are built and maintained with other departments and stakeholders, both internal and external. Write detailed shift and swing handovers to set the team up for success Contribute as member of the Covalent Lithium team in establishing our desired organisation culture Role Requirements 3+ years Laboratory experience Demonstrated experience following QA/QC systems Experience with AAS or ICP (Agilent), fusion machines and XRD (desired) Experience with sample preparation: Pulveriser, Jaw/Boyd crusher and riffle splitter Experience in sieve sizings A competitive remuneration package commensurate with the role, candidate experience, skills and qualifications will be offered.
