About The Role – Aboriginal Health Practitioner (AHP) or Registered Nurse Our deadly Aboriginal Health Practitioners (AHP) / Registered Nurses (RN) provides high quality, comprehensive and culturally appropriate primary health care to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people living in the Greater Darwin Area. Key Information Position Type: Casual Salary Range: $75,251 to $110,813 per annum (RN 2.1 to 3.3), $74,007 to $96,681 per annum (AHP 2.1 to 3.4) What You Need to Succeed Bachelor of Nursing and/or Certificate IV in Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice). Current registration as an AHP/ Nurse with AHPRA. Demonstrated understanding and/or experience in providing Primary Health Care, utilising standard treatment manuals. Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and history and knowledge of issues impacting on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today. Demonstrated, well developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills including with the ability to communicate sensitively in a cross-cultural environment. Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion. Ability to work independently, and as a member of a team, with strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to plan, manage and prioritise tasks. Demonstrated computer skills, including experience using the Microsoft suite of applications and clinical practice software. What to talk this role through some more?
