SIRROM is a well-established, Australian owned business, providing accommodation and facility services for mining and energy operations and their workforces. With 55+ years’ experience, SIRROM has a comprehensive understanding of what effective integrated facility services means to the overall operational success of our clients. We have earnt our reputation through delivering tailored catering and hospitality services, great food with great people, to remote accommodation facilities. We are seeking an experienced village manager to provide leadership and motivation to our team on our mine-site village operation located in the Pilbara region of remote Western Australia. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day village operations, ensuring high service standards are met whilst working in line with budget targets and ensuring staff are committed to the safe delivery of village services. To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 2 years' experience working as a mine-site Village Manager in a similar environment (fly in / fly out basis). Your “hands on” approach as a manager will be pivotal to developing a positive working culture. The point of hire is Perth (WA), working a 14 days on / 7 days off roster. The successful candidate will: Demonstrate a high level of professionalism when dealing with village residents, visitors and staff Have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients, residents, colleagues and visitors Possess a comprehensive understanding of the site-specific scope of works to ensure that contractual requirements are met with the highest level of quality Continually encourage and develop the workforce performance in line with the Sirrom Village Services long term development, training matrix and mentoring opportunities Complete all operational reporting documents in an accurate and timely manner Have sound knowledge of OH&S requirements both legislative and site-specific Provide employees with relevant training and support in all aspects of their individual positions Ensure the food standards at site are compliant and in line with HACCP plans, Critical Control Point (CCP) and all records and schedules are compliant within the management system Knowledge, skills and experience needed to perform this role: At least 2 years (minimum) prior village management experience in a remote environment (essential) Very well-developed people management skills Safety awareness Ability to operate in a busy and everchanging environment in line with operational budgets and guidelines A positive attitude toward providing excellent customer service Competent computer skills with the ability to learn new systems The successful candidate will be required to: Provide a National Police Clearance less than 6 months old Hold an WA Approved Manager's Liquor Licence Hold a current RSA Certificate Possess a current Australian Driver's Licence Provide a current Forklift Licence (desirable) Hold a Food Safety for Supervisors Certificate Pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol screen Please ensure you are willing to work a 2/1 roster before applying.
