Job Description Contribute to the safety and efficiency of our flight operations Work with a collaborative team of dedicated professionals Permanent full time opportunity, based in Perth Network Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Qantas Group, providing high-capacity air charter and regular passenger transport services. We operate a fleet of F100 and A320/A319 jet aircraft from our base at Perth Airport and specialise in mining industry charters, regional airline services, routine and emergency freight and corporate charter flying. As the Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) Safety and Investigations Manager , you will manage Flight Operations incident investigations and ensure the integrity of our data assurance programs. Reporting to the Manager of Fleet Safety, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our safety standards and provide expert advice on operational risk and mitigation strategies. This role maintains oversight of the FOQA, LOSA, and Flight Operations Audit Programs, with a focus on reviewing and analysing trends in Aviation Incident Reports. You will use your evaluations of aircraft accident and incident reports to supply vital safety and compliance information and improve policies and procedures. Collaborating with the Safety department, you will also be involved in developing flight safety initiatives, policies, and standards, as well as ensuring crew remain informed through the publication of updates on error and risk management and regulatory compliance. Applicants who hold a current CASA ATPL (A), or frozen ATPL (A), may also have the opportunity to maintain currency as a pilot and conduct line flying operations as required. You’ll have – Exemplary communication and written skills Ability to simplify complexity and provide beneficial recommendations Strong interest or experience in safety investigations, human factors, non-technical skills and assurance management Familiarity with flight operations and safety management systems Operational or technical experience within aviation, preferably with F100 and A320 aircraft types Experience and/or tertiary qualifications in aviation safety, flight operations, investigating, auditing and assurance management Ability to analyse, problem solve and facilitate outcomes using data Demonstrated ability to quickly identify key opportunities and issues, and develop and implement best practice strategies for resolution Currently hold, or have held, an ATPL, and a type qualification on either the F100 or A320 considered highly advantageous The Qantas employee benefits program offers amazing benefits that extend well beyond travel.
