6-month contract with potential to go permanent Town Hall CBD location with hybrid work Career development & progression opportunities Paid Charity Volunteering & Wellbeing Leave Staff discount across Australian & New Zealand network Excellent opportunity to join dynamic FP&A Team in Travel Retail for a 6-month contract role where you will act as a trusted advisor on financial, commercial, and strategic matters to senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities will include: Leading the monthly P&L review process, including reconciliations, in-depth variance analysis, strategic insights, and high-level commentary for executive stakeholders. Overseeing the preparation of the bi-annual forecast, annual budget, and 5-year plan, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders. Managing the completion and distribution of monthly & weekly reports including analysis. Partnering closely with the Commercial, Operations, and Finance teams to drive performance, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities for value creation. Ensuring accurate and timely data management, including the upload of actual and forecasted management accounts into the parent company’s reporting portal. Leading and delivering high-impact ad hoc projects, including business case development, process improvements, and strategic financial initiatives. Successful applicants will have the following experience and attributes: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. CA/CPA/CIMA qualified. 5+ years’ experience in a finance, FP&A, or audit role, ideally with senior exposure to commercial finance and strategic decision-support. Industry experience in Retail, FMCG, or a fast-paced commercial environment. Exceptional analytical skills and commercial acumen, with a demonstrated ability to influence business decisions. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to confidently present financial insights to finance leadership and non-financial stakeholders. Proficiency in financial modelling and data analytics, with advanced Excel skills essential. Experience with enterprise-level financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., TM1/Planning Analytics, Power BI, SAP, or equivalent). Track record of driving process improvements and automation, with a continuous improvement mindset. This is a hands-on role in a busy environment that will require you to think strategically and analytically with an operational approach.
