Job Description - Fabrication Apprentice - 1st Year (262994) UGL has an opportunity for a Certificate III Engineering – Fabrication (1st year apprentices accepted) to join the team based at our facility in Townsville, QLD. This role will be offered on a full-time basis working day shift (Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm with 13 RDO’s per year) and paid under the UGL Townsville Enterprise Agreement. This role will see you completing TAFE and on-the-job training at Townsville. We are looking for applications from candidates willing to be committed to completing their certificate III for the duration of the apprenticeship. Post-apprenticeship, there are long-term trade opportunities on site with UGL that could see you develop into many different career paths such as Planning, Technical Support, Supervision, and Production Management. Fabrication Apprenticeship - Certificate III Engineering Responsibilities Include: Examine and evaluate drawings and specifications for job requirements. Operate and adjust metalworking machines and create parts or tools. Fabricate metal parts, components, or sub-assemblies (including welding). Cut, bend, and bevel components prior to fabrication and welding. Cut and remove metal components and replace them with new ones. Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies.
