Base salary over $150, 000 with super and bonuses Stanwell is Queensland’s leading provider of electricity and energy solutions to the National Electricity Market and large energy users along the eastern seaboard of Australia. With over 40 years of continuous operations, Stanwell’s experience in working with communities to build, operate and maintain reliable energy generation assets is also being applied to the rollout of renewable energy. About the role This is a full-time opportunity located at Stanwell Power Station. The Facilities Management Area Officer plays a key role in providing technical leadership, specialized expertise, and fault diagnosis across the full range of plant and equipment within the Site Services Team, as well as in collaboration with key contractors. This position, focused on electrical systems, is responsible for the efficient management and maintenance of critical plant areas, including lighting and power systems, lifts, air conditioning, fire safety systems, and overall building maintenance. Key activities include: Perform work allocated within the weekly schedule including assisting team members to complete routine operational activities. Perform basic contract supervision for goods and services contracts within the work group. Manage unplanned situations that arise on site accordingly. Implement Stanwell safe work system and provide leadership of safety standards. Budgeting and asset life planning. Project management and plant modifications. Ensure maintenance strategy effectively addresses critical plant issues. About you A relevant Electrical Trade/Technical qualification is essential. Additional front-line leadership / management training (desirable). A current Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanic License (or equivalent). Experience in the maintenance of heavy industry. Demonstrated leadership of operational and project work activities. Demonstrated knowledge of contracting and procurement processes. What’s next?
