Job Description

Solicitor - 2-3 PAE Full time Location: Cardiff 2285 Umbrella Legal is a fast-paced law firm with offices in Cardiff and Singleton NSW. We regularly appear in the Local and District Courts of Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, and Hunter Valley regions, as well as the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, predominantly in the Newcastle Registry. At Umbrella Legal, we pride ourselves on being inclusive, progressive, and strong advocates for our clients. Primary Areas of Law: Family law Criminal law Wills & estates Ideal Candidate Qualifications: 2 to 3 years post-admission experience, preferably in one or more of the practice areas listed above. The ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities. A high level of written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other staff. Excellent computer literacy and research skills. Proven attention to detail and highly organized. Experience in Commonwealth Court Portal, NSW Online Registry, and LEAP. The ability to manage and meet a monthly budget and effectively time record. A can-do attitude and a client-focused approach. Additional Requirements: As part of this role, you will be required to hold a NSW Drivers License, reliable transport, be admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW & the High Court of Australia, and hold a current NSW Law Society practicing certificate.
