About the role This newly created role of Farm Services Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing key services processes within the Farming Department, including manure removal, shed washing and disinfection, flock vaccination, and bird movements. The position requires ensuring that these operations run efficiently and on schedule, while maintaining compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards, adhering to company policies, and meeting established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The role also involves regular reporting to track progress and ensure all objectives are successfully achieved. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable with regular travel (2-3 days a week) to various sites. What you’ll do Manage daily operations, including bird movements, vaccination processes, manure removal, and shed wash and disinfection. Build and lead teams to meet farming requirements, providing necessary training. Ensure the effective implementation of company policies. Maintain compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards related to tasks. Adhere to budget guidelines and achieve KPI targets. Provide regular reports to senior management. About You Are you a natural leader with a strong operational mindset, ready to take on a high-impact role where you can drive results and lead diverse teams? Ideally, you will have experience in the layer, broiler, or piggery industries, where you’ve honed your skills in managing complex operations. However, we are open to candidates from other industries with transferable skills. The ideal candidate thrives in overseeing multiple tasks, from bird movements and shed disinfection to leading teams across various locations. With a solid understanding of WHS compliance and a knack for ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, you’ll excel in this role. Your mechanical aptitude and ability to build strong relationships across departments and with external partners will be key to your success. What We’re Looking For Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Logistics, Business Management, Project Management, or similar would be an advantage but is not essential. Minimum of 5 years management experience, with a proven track record of leading teams and driving operational efficiency. Sound knowledge of WHS compliance, ensuring safety standards are met in high-risk operational environments. Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards. Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of heavy machinery and equipment maintenance. Ability to lead and train multiple teams across different sites, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to develop business proposals and implement strategies for operational efficiency. Excellent communication skills, capable of building relationships with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies. Proven track record in managing complex operations, including scheduling, planning, and coordinating resources to achieve goals. Results-oriented mindset, focused on meeting KPI targets and adhering to budget guidelines.
