Job Description

The Field Manager is accountable for the safe and efficient delivery of established work programs. The role is accountable for the oversight of delivery of work within time and budget and the application of lessons learnt to drive continuous improvement in safety, productivity, and innovation. This opportunity would also see you accountable for developing and maintaining the required technical capability of the workforce and managing performance to achieve positive outcomes. The role requires strategic thinking, leadership, and operational excellence to meet TransGrid’s standards and values and reports directly into the Field Delivery Manager. A Day in the Life as a Field Manager at Transgrid Lead safety communication to Field Coordinators and technicians, providing inclusive communication platforms to all workers to contribute to the continuous improvement of safe work practices. Inspire confidence and responsiveness within the Department and across the Business Unit for the execution of timely, high-quality delivery services to internal and external customers. Build and maintain the technical capability of the workforce to continuously deliver the established programs of work. Contribute to the preparation of the capital and operating budget to required standards of detail, scope, and timeliness. About you You bring extensive knowledge, experience, and understanding of electricity transmission work programs and project delivery principles not just in theory but in practice. Advanced diploma or equivalent experience in a relevant field: Substations & Transmission Lines. Extensive experience in electricity transmission maintenance and projects, ERP systems, and work management. Strong business acumen, decision-making skills, and knowledge of compliance policies. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills ideally within a highly regulated industry where you have led large teams.
