About the Role We are seeking a skilled Field Service Light Vehicle Mechanic to live and work in Ramingining, East Arnhem Land. In this role, you will provide essential servicing and maintenance to the surrounding homelands, which are often accessible only by light plane or boat. Key Responsibilities Perform servicing and maintenance for local councils, civil contractors, and government projects. Conduct advanced diagnostics and repairs, with a focus on Toyota light vehicles. Perform air conditioning repairs for Toyota vehicles. Operate independently to deliver maintenance services in remote islands and communities. Maintain accurate records and report any defects to supervisors to ensure timely parts procurement and repairs. Essential Skills and Qualifications Diesel mechanic trade certificate with at least three years of experience. Expertise in servicing and repairing Toyota 4x4 vehicles. Strong customer service and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively. A respectful and culturally sensitive approach to working in Aboriginal communities. A current driver's license. Benefits and Remuneration A company-provided Landcruiser ute. Highly competitive salary. Superannuation paid on all hours worked. Residential role in Ramingining, with a furnished two-bedroom house provided for $100 per week. 5-day workweek with 10-hour shifts (2 days off).
