Our client is a leading global provider who specializes in the research, development, production, and operation of inspection devices for pipelines and other complex technical systems, servicing the global oil and gas industry as well as other business sectors. This is an entry-level role where you will learn to be a Field Service Technician who inspects pipelines and mechanical assemblies. This role is based in Canning Vale WA, but you will be required to undertake travel to other Australian states on occasions based on the operational needs of the business. You must be available to do this. You will be provided on-the-job training, and you will complete a 12 Month Certificate II in Process Manufacturing with the potential to undertake a further qualification for the right candidate. THE ROLE Under the supervision of our experienced team, you will learn preparation, execution, and completion of the survey and perform all related tasks in accordance with regulations, work procedures, and technical instructions, including the testing of mechanical systems, assembly and installation of mechanical assemblies, and receiving, collecting, and analyzing and validating the survey data. Over the course of your traineeship, you will learn to undertake the following tasks: Receive inspection survey assignments and communicate with the Field Service Coordinator for assignment details. Timely onsite preparation and shipping for inspection tools and equipment to workshops or other sites in cooperation with SCM. Assess tool condition, report any damages, and order needed spare parts. Prepare tool demobilization. Collect, analyze, and validate the survey data for completeness and quality, using proprietary software, procedures, and specifications. Perform basic data processing and compile data acceptance criteria. Output reports onsite as part of deliverables. ABOUT YOU You must have completed Year 12. Hold a Current Driver's Licence and reliable car to get to and from work. Mechanical aptitude, a great attitude, and an appetite for learning. This role is hands-on, and you will need the ability to use computers. Willingness to travel as per operational needs. Resilience with the ability to adapt to frequently changing schedules and tight timelines. Good written and verbal communication skills.
