Service Stream’s SA Water Project team are currently seeking Civil Maintenance workers to join our growing company. Your core responsibilities will include undertaking reactive water/sewer network maintenance tasks as required by our client. As such, you will be required to provide general labour and plant operating skills in the repair of water assets and other associated network maintenance activities in the Adelaide metropolitan area. To be successful in this position you will be required to complete maintenance tasks and rectify faults effectively in a timely manner, whilst working cooperatively with all internal stakeholders meeting contractual targets in responding to and assessing all unplanned works. Carrying out labour tasks/field work unsupervised including planned and preventative maintenance on the sewer network. Undertaking and participating in Confined Space Entry works, following all safety measures. Carrying out repairs/locating and other works on sewer manholes. Digging out and repairing sewer pipes and mains by hand or mechanically. Working on a rotating standby roster. Carrying out overtime to complete tasks and emergency works when needed, including weekends. Qualifications Current Victorian Driver’s License MR License or willingness to acquire White Card Desirable Tickets (Excavator operation, CSE, Working at Heights, First Aid Ticket & CPR) Experience Desirable experience (Plumbing, Civil) Operating or working around excavators Excavation experience (trenches, shafts, deep excavation) Manual labour/physically fit About Us Service Stream, together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, is a leading national service provider to develop and operate Australia’s essential communications, energy and water networks in the telecommunications, utilities and transport industries.
