Primary Details Time Type: Full timeWorker Type: EmployeeLocation: Sydney, NSW (preferred) Type: Fixed term opportunity (up to 12 months) Hybrid role, happy to talk flexible working The opportunity This role will be suitable for an experienced and dynamic Finance Business Partner to join QBE and help drive value and benefits across our Investment Portfolio. As the Finance Business Partner – Project Benefit Management you will oversee the full lifecycle of benefits and value management within our AUSPAC business. This role will ensure that financial investments align with our strategic objectives and deliver measurable results with a heavy emphasis on continual improvement and performance excellence. Your new role: In this role you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the benefits management lifecycle and help enhance financial performance by maximizing value creation and operational efficiency across projects and business functions. Using your expertise in the insurance industry and understanding of the Insurance business model and drivers, Project Business Cases and benefit realization, you will engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership in Project Teams, Business Units, and Enabling Functions. On a regular basis, this role will see you: Developing and implementing a structured benefits realization and value management framework to assess financial performance and ROI. Partnering with project teams, business units, and senior leadership to define, track, and report on the financial benefits of strategic initiatives. Conducting financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting to support decision-making and ensure investments deliver on committed outcomes and benefits. Developing, monitoring, and evaluating financial and operational KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization. Establishing and driving reporting improvements that enable greater commercial insight for enterprise performance reporting. Supporting budgeting, financial planning, and scenario analysis processes. Preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management and stakeholders. About you You will be an experienced Finance Business Partner who bridges finance and business, driving strategic decisions through financial insights. Utilizing data analytics and digital tools, you will effectively communicate with senior leadership, highlighting value and benefits, simplifying financial insights, and identifying key growth drivers. Additionally, you will monitor business performance to enhance financial investments and drive continuous improvement. You will have: Strong knowledge of project business cases, including benefits identification, tracking, and realization. Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and investment evaluation techniques. High level of proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (Excel, etc.). Experience in working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams and proven stakeholder management and business partnering skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong drive and resilience, professional curiosity, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
