Finance Manager, Transformation & Projects Job Description Overview This exciting and newly created role will work closely with the Group Head of FP&A and the CFO in supporting the execution of finance transformation projects for the Group on a two year fixed term contract.In this role, you will work with the enterprise FP&A and Finance teams and play a critical role in implementing enterprise performance management cadence across the Group, establishing cash flow reporting and forecasting processes for MPMS, leading project team in delivering management reporting roll up in TM1, as well as any other Finance Transformation projects as required, which may include the implementation of a new ERP system for the group. MPMS is a fast paced, complex and evolving business and your ability to lead and drive change as a change owner and champion will be important.Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities Strategic Focus In collaboration with the Group Head of FP&A, lead, drive and executive on enterprise FP&A transformation roadmap priorities and initiatives, ensuring alignment to the Group Finance strategy and MPMS strategic objectives. Leverage deep understanding of MPMS and current financial practices to support and lead the transformation agenda for Group FP&A. Develop and implement innovative solutions, leveraging technology and data analytics to enhance financial reporting and decision-making processes. Operational Management Supporting Group Head of FP&A, working through practical issues during the implementation of the various Transformation related projects, ensuring effective and impactful delivery of the change agenda, working with the divisional and wider Finance team for ongoing compliance of the desired ways of working practices for the business. Ensure integrity of FP&A reporting tool (TM1) through effective data governance and controls. Develop and implement fit for purpose reporting structures within TM1 to facilitate and support the delivery of timely, quality and insightful advice to the business that contributes to the business' strategic focuses and successes. Effectively engage and work with stakeholders across MPMS to develop and deliver project plans, charters, timelines, supporting the successful delivery of Transformation workstreams and projects. Transformation workstreams may include, but are not limited to Cash Flow Reporting and Forecasting, FP&A reporting framework and cadence, all processes and output required for monthly reporting, Forecasting and Budgeting, Group Allocation, as well as potential ERP migration. Supporting all relevant FP&A reporting activities as required, which include budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, as well as the preparation of business papers and board papers. People Leadership Actively engage and influence Divisional FP&A teams, Financial Control, Tax, Procurement and Finance Systems teams, as well as the wider business units teams to ensure the Group Transformation agenda is met. In cooperation with the Group Head of FP&A and CFO, contribute to the development and delivery of the change program and initiatives. This includes identifying resources, how change impacts people and their roles and evaluating/communicating ROI of transformation activity. Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and deliver training programs that equip employees with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to adapt to new processes, systems, and ways of working. Demonstrate a can-do and positive attitude, cross train other members of the Group FP&A team, supporting the overall uplifting of the FP&A capability in Group Finance. Cultivate positive working relationships with members of the Group FP&A leadership team and broader Group Finance team. Challenge the status quo and influence improvements in an impactful and diplomatic manner. Governance & Risk Ensure full adherence to legal and regulatory requirements and the good conduct of the businesses, maintaining ongoing compliance and upholding the reputation of MPMS. Achievement of business objectives and the maintenance of ongoing regulatory compliance. Experience & Personal Attributes Relevant professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Previous transformation experience, working in a large corporate with multiple legal entities, divisions and cost centers experience. Demonstrated capability managing project transformation within Finance functions. 8+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience, ideally in a service-based environment that is underpinned by technology platforms. A strong communicator, who is able to influence without authority at different levels across the organisation. Highly organised and experienced in putting together and executing Project Plans, Charters, Timelines and Outcomes. Strong global mindset, including global thinking and ways of working, which have the ability to promote business change. Understanding of financial and strategic planning. Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse information to identify the key issue/action and drive resolution. Flexible and responsive in dealing with tight deadlines, consistently demonstrating a can-do attitude in complex and matrixed environments. Extensive experience working with cube-based Financial Planning, Business Intelligence tools and ERP systems. Knowledge of how to exploit digital technology to drive better outcomes for Finance and the business. Ability to fast cycle new digital learning requirements within the new learning environment. Ability to explain how digital technologies interact with finance stakeholders, processes and systems. Capability and motivation to embrace new technology and ways of working. Sound knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Demonstrable experience in process re-engineering, project management and technology enhancement will also be important. Experience working in a large multi-currency global organisation.
