Finance Modernisation – Data Stream Lead Prime opportunity to join IT in the Data and AI team Fixed Term for 2 years, full-time position in a central Hawthorn location Attractive Salary + 17% Super. Staff benefits include hybrid work and discount study fees About the Role As the Finance Modernisation Data Stream Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing all data-related aspects of the Finance ERP modernisation project. Reporting to the Chief Data and Analytics Officer and working closely with the Finance Modernisation Program Director, you will lead data migration, master data management, and ESG reporting while serving as the key link between the project and the Data & AI team.In this role, you will collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to understand their requirements, translate them into actionable insights, and ensure alignment with project objectives. You will also manage a small team of data professionals and leverage expertise from across the Data & AI team to meet project needs.Your strong leadership and communication skills will be essential in fostering collaboration across departments, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring that deliverables align with both project timelines and strategic priorities. This is an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and contribute to the university’s digital transformation journey. About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: Demonstrated Experience in Leading Large-Scale Data Transformation Projects Deep Understanding of Finance Systems and Processes Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management Strong Data Integration & Architecture Expertise Knowledge of Data Governance, Quality, and Security Qualifications A degree in IT or Finance, or a related field Relevant certifications in data management (e.g., DAMA) Relevant certifications in Project Management (e.g. Agile) Finance qualification (e.g. CA / CPA) About Swinburne University of Technology Swinburne’s strategy draws upon our understanding of future challenges.
