About the Role We currently have an exciting opportunity available within our editorial team for an experienced property and finance journalist. In this role you will create - and coordinate the production of - high quality content for our Savings.com.au and Your Investment Property brands to attract and nurture an engaged audience of users. This will be done by producing articles and other multi-media content that informs Australians on finance and property-related matters. Our team pride themselves on having a supportive working environment and flexible working arrangements for its people by offering a combination of work from home and work from the office, once successfully on-boarded. All initial training takes place in the office environment to ensure an effective on-boarding process. Key responsibilities: Write and edit informative guides, thoughtful features, breaking news and clean web copy for Savings.com.au and Your Investment Property Lead the production of Your Investment Property Magazine as its Editor Direct the EDM campaign strategy for Your Investment Property Coordinate the sourcing, editing and publishing of contributor content for Your Investment Property while nurturing relationships with key contributors Represent the brand well when invited to provide commentary for external media outlets (e.g. radio, online news media) Regularly provide insightful property market commentary on our podcast, The Savings Tip Jar Conduct interviews with external contacts to source original commentary for news, features and guides Bring articles to life by featuring real life case studies Present and produce videos to complement key articles and pages Leverage social media to amplify the reach of the brands and content Produce content for other brands in the wider business when required About you You will be an enthusiastic writer with a genuine interest in financial products and the Australian property market. You’ll also have strong organisational skills that enable you to successfully manage and prioritise tasks with proven ability to consistently meet deadlines and get results. Required Experience / Qualifications: Experience in an online publishing environment and a bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or creative writing would be very highly regarded Qualifications or experience in finance or property would also be viewed favourably Highly advanced, versatile writing and editing skills to suit a variety of writing formats (news, features, guides, etc.) Knowledge of SEO best practices Proficient with content management systems Great interpersonal skills Why us?
