Financial Accountant (2 - 3-Month Contract) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a dynamic team on a 2-3 month contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent full-time role. This role is perfect for someone who can start immediately and is looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact during a period of transition. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a smooth handover from the existing financial accountant, providing valuable insights to support decision-making, and maintaining strong internal control processes. What you'll do: Ensure accurate recording of accounting transactions and manage controls on the same Prepare and analyse financial statements in compliance with AASB standards Maintain the general ledger and perform monthly account reconciliations Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts Coordinate with external tax advisors and ensure compliance with local and federal tax regulations Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement Utilise financial software and tools effectively to enhance data accuracy What you bring: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar field with Completed or near completion CA/CPA qualification 2 - 5 years of experience in Financial Operations, FP&A, or Business Finance, preferably from the Manufacturing sector Strong understanding and practical application of AASB standards Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping and reporting Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in SYSPRO, MS Office tools – mainly Excel and PowerPoint What sets this company apart: This company prides itself on its dynamic and supportive team environment.
