Our client, a leading global resources company, is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, contributing to the financial integrity and reporting requirements of a multinational organisation. Key Responsibilities: Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations. Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and company policies. Assist in the preparation of statutory reporting and tax compliance obligations. Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance. Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy in financial records. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, and senior leadership. Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation. Support process improvements and system enhancements to drive efficiency. Key Requirements: CPA/CA qualified or equivalent. 3+ years of experience in financial accounting within a corporate or resources sector environment. Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements. Proficiency in ERP systems, with SAP experience required. Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail.
