Seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller with a strong background in financial services.MARS Recruitment is partnering with a reputable financial services company to find a motivated Financial Controller to join their exceptional team on a permanent basis. This role supports the execution of strategic priorities while ensuring compliance with tax and statutory requirements. Key responsibilities include preparing and analysing financial reports, cash flow forecasting and reporting for the group, managing the budgeting and forecasting process, and overseeing compliance with all tax obligations and relevant legislation.This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong track record in financial control to drive significant organisational impact by leading the finance function in a high-growth, award-winning company.Responsibilities: Prepare complex budgets and forecasts on a timely basis Manage the team deliverables around financial and statutory reporting Deliver annual financial reports, management reports and board reports on a timely basis Develop analytical models and prepare external reporting and submissions Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital management Monitor and analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts and provide insightful recommendations Develop financial policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure best practice Supervise and mentor the finance team, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to perform their roles effectively Adopt a hands-on, forward-thinking approach to address financial matters within the team and across the organization Identify opportunities to improve existing process and implement new process as well as being a key influencer Criteria: 10+ years experience in accounting & finance Experience in insurance or superannuation CA/CPA qualified (or international equivalent) Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards Advance report writing skills Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
