Financial Intelligence Unit Data Analyst Join our Financial Crime Risk Financial Intelligence Unit based in Sydney, who play a key role focusing on detection coverage and optimisation of Macquarie’s Transaction Monitoring Program. In this role, you will assist in the development, tuning, and calibration of new and existing TM scenarios, applying detection control coverage to ensure comprehensive monitoring. You will develop and maintain MI reporting dashboards using Power BI, providing actionable insights and analytics to stakeholders through comprehensive reporting to ensure data accuracy and integrity of all monitoring and reporting within the Financial Intelligence Unit. Additionally, you will provide guidance and support to the first line of defence teams as required. This includes collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and effectiveness of TM processes and assisting in the training and development of first line of defence teams on TM-related matters. What you offer 1-2 years of experience in Financial Crime Risk or Risk Management in a data and analytics capacity, with exposure to Transaction Monitoring being desirable. Experience with programming and data visualisation tools such as SQL, Python and PowerBi. Ability to interrogate and interpret data and communicate findings to both expert and senior audiences. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. An understanding of institutional banking products would be advantageous.
