Job Description The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager is pivotal in ensuring financial stability, strategic decision-making, and regulatory compliance within organizations. Responsibilities may include financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis tailored to the needs of higher education. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial software, and the ability to communicate financial insights effectively to stakeholders within the academic environment. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Financial Planning – Develop and execute long-term financial plans aligned with the company’s goals. Budget Management – Oversee budget creation, monitoring, and compliance across the organization. Risk Mitigation – Identify financial risks and implement proactive risk management strategies. Investment Management – Manage the company’s investment portfolio and assess opportunities for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. Financial Compliance – Ensure full compliance with regulatory and statutory financial reporting requirements. Working Capital Optimization – Develop strategies to enhance liquidity and reduce financing costs. Cash Flow Management – Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability. Performance Reporting – Provide timely and accurate financial reports, including dashboards and key performance metrics, to the CFO, Board, and senior management. Stakeholder Communication – Present financial outcomes and forecasts to key internal and external stakeholders. Process Improvement – Continuously review and enhance financial management systems and reporting processes for greater efficiency. Resource Allocation – Ensure optimal use of financial resources based on business needs and analysis. Qualifications & Experience: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and investment management. Experienced in financial governance, budgeting, and forecasting. Strong knowledge of corporate finance, risk management, and financial reporting regulations. Desired Skills and Experience Strong leadership and strategic thinking in financial planning. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. High level of analytical and problem-solving abilities to support decision-making. Negotiation and influencing skills to drive financial initiatives. Ability to work independently on complex projects while ensuring collaboration across teams. Proactive approach to financial risk management and cost optimization.
