Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer – 12-Month Contract Are you a skilled financial services lawyer looking for your next challenge? A top-tier law firm has partnered with Elevate and seeks a qualified lawyer for an on-ward secondment with a leading financial institution for a 12-month contract to provide expert advice on consumer finance and credit law. This project is due to start ASAP, so we are ideally looking for a lawyer who can start as soon as possible. What We’re Looking For: 10+ years PQE (flexible) with a Bachelor of Laws and admission to practice in Australia. Expertise in financial services regulation, particularly National Consumer Credit Protection Act Compliance. Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Strong credit law experience. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Your Role: Provide strategic legal counsel to the Consumer Finance team. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance while simplifying processes for customers and bankers. Balance automation and simplicity with regulatory obligations. Offer on-demand legal support for Consumer Finance, with occasional advisory work in the Home.
