Your new role Your new role plays a crucial part in managing the organisation's financial activities. Some key responsibilities may include: Contract until October 2025 Brisbane CBD location Local Council Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the Council's banking processes, including various payment channels. Provide expert advice on project management, tenders, and procurement processes. Administer banking and payment channel contracts, including handling contract variations and extensions. Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including banking counterparties, payment channel providers, and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) assessors. Conduct and manage the annual PCI DSS audit, ensuring all processes comply with Council policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment issues and ensure efficient communication channels. Identify and implement new products and services to enhance efficiency and improve customer outcomes. What you'll need to succeed Experience in the management, negotiation, administration and resolution of issues in large contracts Experience in problem-solving to provide recommendations Proficiency in Oracle 8I and PL/SQL. Experience in projects. Proven track record in managing, negotiating, administering, and resolving issues related to large corporate banking contracts. Proven ability to proactively engage with and manage internal and external relationships, including banking counterparties. In-depth understanding of banking and payment platforms, with IT systems experience within a corporate treasury or banking environment. The ability to evaluate proposals using financial modelling and analysis techniques, including business models. Experience in conducting research, analysis, and modelling. Experience in offering financial and business advisory services to senior managers and other clients, including financial analysis, planning, and management reporting. Strong skills in interpersonal communication and customer service. High-level organisational skills to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Knowledge of the PCI DSS compliance framework is desirable. The ability to contribute to team direction, provide and receive feedback, and achieve performance standards to foster a culture of excellence.
