Remuneration: SCHADS 5 ($49.77-$52.03 p/hr.) + 11.5% super + salary packaging available. This role will provide guidance and advice about culturally safe practices with First Nations callers. This guidance and advice will be provided in real-time consults case reviews, and brief sessions with callers where it is identified that specialised support is required. The role will also review risk, presentation, and documentation related to First Nations callers providing specialised advice to leadership about appropriate responses. The role will provide support to practitioners with managing complex calls with First Nations callers as well as working alongside the Team Leaders to support the Womensline team with continuous improvement activities aimed at strengthening cultural safety such as the review, development and implementation of work guides, procedures and workflows for tasks performed by the Womensline team. Additionally, this role will take the lead in developing and nurturing key relationships with sector and non-sector partners. This involves not only addressing stakeholder issues as they arise but also proactively engaging in planned partnership-style interactions to build and strengthen these relationships. This role will also work alongside the Service Integration Coordinator to establish relationships with services across the state, which may involve travel. Position Requirements ** It is a genuine requirement of this position to be filled by a woman as permitted in sections 25, 104 and 105 of the Anti-Discrimination Act, 1991. DVConnect claims exemption under the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act in identifying this role for an Indigenous candidate. ** Minimum two (2) years of professional experience in the social and community services sector at a mid-senior level role. Skilled in supporting high-risk clients, initial needs identification and risk assessments, safety planning, complex case management/support, and delivering appropriate referral pathways internally and externally of the organisation. Ability to apply appropriate practice frameworks used to respond to the gendered nature of violence against women and children. Providing guidance and advice to team members and leadership around culturally safe practices to support First Nations peoples experiencing domestic, family, or sexual violence. Demonstrated ability to build, maintain, and enhance relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including both sector and non-sector partners. Leadership skills evidenced by previous experience in training, guiding, and/or supporting a team. Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems effectively and make informed decisions under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, necessary for effective team collaboration and external stakeholder engagement. Proven ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks, prioritise effectively and ensure optimal workflow and task allocation. Right to work in Australia. - Completed (or working towards) a tertiary qualification in Behavioural Science, Social Work, Human Services, or other relevant fields accepted by DVConnect. - Experience working for a not-for-profit organisation, preferably within the DFSV sector or similar. - Knowledge and understanding (or willingness to acquire) about the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012 and other relevant legislations. - Knowledge and understanding of the intersectional feminist framework. - Supporting high-risk clients and/or intake experience. - Phone-based crisis support.
