Job Description

Clublinks Management has been appointed to manage and operate the state-of-the-art Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre (NARC) on behalf of the City of Darebin. NARC opened its doors in 2023; this fully accessible venue consists of indoor and outdoor pools, aquatic play spaces, gym and group fitness studios, health suites, café, reformer pilates studio, change rooms, and outdoor relaxation areas. The role will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of all Food & Beverage operations and business development at NARC and supporting the strategy, growth, and support of four other Darebin venues – at Bundoora Golf, Northcote Golf, Narrandjeri Stadium, and Darebin Sports Community Stadium. The role forms part of the senior leadership team at NARC and will be supported by the NARC Venue Manager and the wider Clublinks Darebin Management team. Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre (NARC) is the fifth venue managed by Clublinks in Darebin, in partnership with the City of Darebin. Other venues currently managed in Darebin include two community Indoor Sports Stadiums – Narrandjeri Stadium and Darebin Community Sports Stadium (DCSS), along with two public golf courses, Bundoora Park Public Golf Course and Northcote Public Golf Course. More about the role Reporting to the NARC Venue Manager, the Food & Beverage Manager will be an integral part of the NARC leadership team, responsible for overseeing and leading all Food & Beverage offerings at NARC. Responsibilities for this hands-on role will include: Member of the Senior Leadership team of NARC Lead the recruitment, onboarding, training, and leadership of the NARC hospitality team People Management / Leadership Ensure the exceptional delivery of customer service standards and that staff are held accountable for service delivery Daily management of staff including but not limited to daily shift direction and dealing with unacceptable performance or conduct Reporting on café performance, KPIs, and business improvement opportunities Roster Management Stock and inventory management – including ordering, unpacking, merchandising, and stock takes Ensure F&B areas remain in a usable, safe, and presentable state at all times Ensure adherence to the Food Safety Plan and hygiene standards and compliance levels Lead great customer experience for all members and visitors Ensure that all venue policies and procedures are followed by the hospitality team Systems and Procedural development and management Wider scope of F&B offerings or other Clublinks managed Darebin Venues (Golf courses and sports stadiums) The perks Great workplace culture, true to our values Easy parking Free golf and gym membership across our managed sites (including NARC) – fair use policy applies Salary packaging opportunities All about you You will have: 3+ proven years’ experience working in a similar role within the Hospitality, Entertainment, and/or Recreation industries.
