Job Description
Food Microbiologist - Eurofins Food Testing Laboratory Full-time Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company, providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries, to make life and our environment safer, healthier and more sustainable. Eurofins believes it is a global leader in food, environmental, pharmaceutical and cosmetics products testing and in agroscience CRO services. The Microbiologist is responsible for performing analytical methods, operating equipment/analytical instruments including Confirmation step (PCR and Maldi-TOF Techniques). Reporting to the Team Leader, this role will have the following responsibilities: Out of Specification Investigation and reporting. Method review and Internal Audits. Calibration of equipment and other Quality checks for Food Laboratory. Weekend testing support for confirmation and testing Food samples. Minimum Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Science or equivalent qualification; or equivalent experience. At least 3-5 years’ experience in NATA accredited commercial laboratory. Experience in PCR/results reading & confirmation. NATA signatory will be an added advantage. Experience in using different equipment/instrumental and sample preparation techniques. Experience using a laboratory LIMS system. Technical knowledge in the relevant scientific discipline. Strong knowledge of NATA requirement for ISO 17025.
