As a Kitchen Hand / Food Services Assistant, your focus will be on cleaning, delivering, and preparing catering needs, special requirements, and food preferences. Candidates should be available to work from 12pm to 6pm with shifts available from Tuesday through to Saturday for this position. Working as part of a friendly and close-knit team, your focus will be: Prepare, present and serve food and refreshments, ensuring awareness of special needs for dietary requirements Plate and present food in an appealing manner and to a high-quality visual standard according to individual requirements Cleaning kitchen and storage areas Clearing and sorting of food deliveries General kitchen duties, preparing food for daily meals Requirements Outstanding customer service skills Great communication, organisation and time management skills Food Safety Certificate Level I (HLTFSE001) or progression towards the completion of a Food Safety Certificate Previous experience working in a café, food services environment and/or at an aged care facility Patience; common sense and a strong ethos of client service Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work within a team and to work with minimum supervision Why VMCH?
