Job Description

This position is responsible for fostering and managing strong relationships with foodservice and bakery customers, driving sales growth, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The role involves strategic planning, managing customer accounts, and working collaboratively with internal teams to provide customized solutions that align with customer needs and company objectives. Our client is open to candidates who are currently based in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Responsibilities: Cultivate and sustain strong, long-term relationships with key foodservice clients, such as restaurants, hotels, catering services, and institutional food providers. Act as the primary contact for assigned accounts, addressing customer inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction. Identify opportunities to expand business within current accounts while actively seeking new customer prospects. Create and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and surpass sales targets. Present product offerings, promotional campaigns, and customized solutions to meet customer needs. Meet or exceed the set sales volume targets, both overall and within individual product categories. Attain budgeted gross profit targets, ensuring growth within each product category. Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to uncover new business opportunities. Provide valuable insights and recommendations to the sales team and management based on industry trends and customer needs. Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and supply chain, to ensure smooth execution of customer orders and initiatives. Work together on product development, menu innovations, and promotional strategies tailored to meet customer objectives. Keep accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and account performance within the CRM system. Prepare and deliver regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations to management. Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in sales, account management, or a related field, preferably within the foodservice or bakery industry. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Strong ability to develop and execute sales strategies, build long-term customer relationships, and close sales. Experience working with key accounts and driving business growth is essential. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization. Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and logistics, to achieve shared goals. Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on achieving results while managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
